Untitled Poem #6
Ulysses and The Prophet were once thick as thieves, braving any dangers they came across, whether that be fierce storms or the chilly river they used to leap into.
Ulysses and The Prophet were once two in the same. They used to promise to never, ever return home, to always travel, to always feel alive.
Ulysses and The Prophet went their separate ways. It was a heavy strain on the both of them. Ulysses needed her guide. The Prophet needed his spark. But the gods kept them apart, and the emptiness took its toll.
Ulysses and The Prophet are no more, and the desire to travel has died down. Ulysses stays cooped up in her tiny apartment, writing their tales down. The Prophet wanders on his own, looking for followers.
The gods never liked them together, anyways.
