Just a Funk

Author: Ariah Oak

Is it even worth it? you ask, your head lifting a fraction of an inch from its place in your hands.

I don't answer right away, a little shocked you brought that old question up. Of course it is, I reply, my brows furrowing.

But it always is, and it will be one thousand times over.

You pick your head up, your damp eyes meeting mine. A silent nod, a thank you.
