I see you're awake...

As I opened my eyes and began to look around, the sudden realisation of where I was began to sink in. But why was I here? Last I remember I was walking down the street with Lauren to get some coffee.

_Where's Lauren?_

I quickly turn my head to look around the room; pain shoots up my back and stops in my neck, lingering for a few moments before I rest my head back down on the pillow.

"Ouch."

I look around the room again, this time deciding it would be best to leave my head where it was. There was a table on which was placed a jug of water and a glass. The walls were bare except for the empty television bracket. As I angled myself to face the door I saw someone entering the room.

"I see you're awake," she began.
