The Fading Masquerade

Author: Lone Writer

A flower without water Is clearly going to die No matter how much trouble Tears will not fall from my eyes

The petals of the bloom are bruised The flower is forgotten She is left quite alone The colors there are haunted

No matter how hard I press, or how great I make my endeavors This darkness is still seeming To go on and on forever

A flower pulled up from the roots Has not a hope of survival As yet, far as I know There is not a chance for revival

So tell me this Then tell me that And tell me its all right But what you haven't told me is Why I shouldn't throw this fight

A flower without water Is clearly going to fade So I see no reason to proceed With this absurd masquerade
